WASHINGTON, DC ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

Washington DC Engagement PhotographsI was totally pumped when Kate and Corey called and asked if I wouldn’t mind traveling up to Washington, DC to take their engagement photos. Kate told me she had already acquired permits from the National Park Service to shoot at the Lincoln Memorial which was great. I actually had a few friends receive fines for not having them before so that was a huge relief. What an amazing backdrop the National Mall was, I knew their photos were going to be on point. Believe it or not, this was my first time shooting engagement photos in Washington, DC proper so I was really looking forward to it. We shot at the Lincoln Memorial which overlooks the Reflecting Pool, the Washington Monument and the Capital building. We were all super bummed though when we got there and found out the Reflecting Pool had been drained to undergo reconstruction. Regardless we made the best of it and took some amazing photos! We then took a stroll along the Potomac River and then hopped over to Dupont Circle located near Corey’s work which proved for some rock star parking. Dupont Circle is also a stones throw away from the Front Page Restaurant and Grille where Kate and Corey met. Their destination wedding at the Salero in Rehoboth Beach is sure to be one for the record books.
