Katy and Paul have one of my favorite “how we met” stories. They met at Lake Fairfax in Reston, Virginia while playing kickball with mutual friends. What would be a better location to shoot engagement photos at right? We trekked all over Lake Fairfax one recent fall morning snapping some great photos, getting to know each other a bit and of course talking about all the wedding details, Paul even brought a kickball to toss around. Katy told me after the weekend kickball games she and Paul would regularly head over to Carpool, their local bar just down the street. With Katy and Paul being regular customers, the manager at Carpool let us in before they opened to take some photos. He even set us up with a few ice cold beers at 10 am. It was 5 o’clock somewhere, or so I told myself while indulging in a few. I’m very much looking forward to Katy and Paul’s destination wedding at the Salero in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware this summer.
