Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t have anything on me. Well maybe he doesn’t get car sick but I do. I know it’s like I’m 8 years old. During a recent wedding in St. Lucia, I had to take a TWO HOUR shuttle ride from the airport to our resort. It was literally the exact opposite end of the island. I thought I was going to die. It’s not like the roads in St. Lucia are maintained like they are here. After a few close calls, you will be happy to know I survived. A few days later and just hours before leaving for the airport to head home I heard that there was an alternate to the shuttle. I was so excited to learn of St. Lucia Helicopters, a helicopter service that would pick up your luggage from the resort, take you on a five minute car ride to a small airport and a twelve minute flight to the main airport. SCORE!!!!! Not only did it save us from the hassle of the shuttle, it gave us two extra hours to relax by the pool. It’s probably weird I don’t get sick in the air but do on land. I took a few photos with my Fuji X100 point and shoot camera from the helicopter. The experience was amazing. I highly recommend it if you get a chance.
