Who would have thought simply swiping right would have led Emily + Chris down the aisle of marriage? Sure enough, the online dating app Tinder led them to meet each other and the rest they say is history…
Like most of my clients, following an initial inquiry I try and setup a time to talk in person or online through FaceTime / Skype / Google Chat to get a more in depth understanding of what they are looking for, and to see if our personalities are a match for each other. I knew following our conversation, that Emily + Chris were two amazing people I would have been honored to work for. You better believe I was pretty excited when I got this email from Chris a few days later…
“We are so happy about making our next decision in the wedding process. If 9-30-16 is still open on your calendar we would love for you to be our wedding photographer. We were really impressed w/ your personality, style, professionalism, experience @ Baywood, your understanding of what we want and your dog. We couldn’t be happier to move forward.”
For their engagement session, Angela and I met Emily + Chris at Belmont Plateau which has a breathtaking view of Philadelphia. If anyone knows me, there is a soft place in my heart for animals, especially dogs. From the beginning Emily + Chris said they wanted to incorporate their Golden Retriever puppy Berkley in photos. I am always excited to incorporate a four legged friend in engagement or wedding photos. We had such a fun time walking around playing with Berkley and enjoying one of the first nice days of spring.
After a short while we strolled into the city where we walked around Rittenhouse Square and finally over to Tria Cafe where Chris proposed to Emily. We sat an outside table, enjoyed a glass of wine and beer while talking about that engagement day, their future wedding plans, life, crab cakes and Berkley even made a guest appearance.
Emily + Chris thank you for allowing Angela and I to hang out with you for a few hours and for letting us share in the excitement of your upcoming wedding later this summer at Baywood Greens. I’m still going to take you up on grabbing a crab cake next time you’re visiting family in Ocean City!
Enjoy!
