Erin + Danny are one of those couples that you just want to be friends with. From the moment we met and started talking about their wedding in Middletown, Maryland, I felt like we had known each other for years. One of the things I picked up first was how involved in the planning process Danny was. I don’t typically have the grooms reaching out initially to make contact, let alone making all of those important decisions. Speaking from my own wedding planning experience, I can only imagine Erin feeling a sense of relief by how helpful this makes the process.
When we started talking about locations of their engagement session, we quickly decided on Downtown Annapolis. Being an Annapolis native, I always jump at the opportunity to go back and visit the place I grew up. We spent an hour or so wandering around the bustling downtown city dock and State circle area snapping portraits, talking about their wedding plans and even dodging a fellow photographers.
At the end of the session Erin + Danny asked if I wouldn’t mind taking a few photos in their Washington Capital’s team jerseys. Being a Capital’s fan myself, I thought of nothing better to wrap up the session than to capture them sporting the Holtby #70 and Oshie #77 jerseys.
Just a few days after delivering their engagement images I received this kind email from Danny…
Erin + Danny, I’m incredibly excited to be working with you this season and can’t wait to capture more memorable moments you can enjoy for a lifetime!
